On Saturday, the Kotay family hosted a fish fry in support of Emily Anim’s candidacy for Vice President. The response was overwhelming. The event was a great success, we sold out, and even after that many more people still came asking for food. We are deeply grateful for the love, support, and encouragement shown.
On Sunday, we held our official Team TUSI Meet and Greet, and the turnout was truly inspiring. More than 150 people came out, including longtime community members who have spent 20 to 30 years in this community, as well as newer members, young people, elders, and families. It was a strong reminder that our community is ready for connection, inclusion, and a better way forward.
This weekend showed us something important: people are paying attention, people are engaged, and people believe in the possibility of a stronger and more united community.
We thank every supporter, every volunteer, every family member, and every person who took the time to stand with us. Your presence, encouragement, and support mean a lot.
At the same time, this is not where we hope to stop. We need your continued support, your advice, your honest input, and even your corrections where necessary. Team TUSI is not trying to do this for the community without the community. We want to do it with the community. We remain open to listening, learning, and working together so that LIBAC can grow stronger for everyone.
Team TUSI remains committed to listening to the community, leading with purpose, and building a LIBAC that works for all.
A new tone. A united community. Leadership that serves. Impact people can feel.
